Steel Master Finland Ltd is a machine shop specialized in designing and manufacturing modular piping units for process industry. The company was founded 1995. Steel Master's reliability is based on solid and skilled craftsmanship, well-considered machinery and active quality system. Our policy is to share our know-how and expertise with customer in order to solve any kind of proble ms related to fluid transferring.

SMF has premises well suited for the purpose. Lay out of shop area is designed for ideal material flow; raw materials in from one end and completed unit out from the other end of the workshop. Necessary stock for components is built just near the assembly area in order to minimize the loss of productive working hours. Each production/assembly cell has its own 500kg jib crane to ensure trouble-free production. Further two bridge-type cranes move over the whole shop area with total lifting capacity of 16,5 tons.Fair sized 9m x 5m overhead door does not set limits to the size of unit.

Paint premises 125 m2
Office area/dressing rooms 500 m2
Steel Master has necessary machinery for manufacturing modular piping units and ensuring cost effective production.

Steel Master is a versatile manufacturer of modular piping units. Our main products are pumping, dosing, heating and cooling units that we manufacture for process industry and power plant engine manufacturers. Units can be anything from a simple pump on skid to a truck sized turn-key delivery with fully automatic electric-control.

Why to buy modular unit instead of built on site system?

A unit will be better built and more reliable than system built on site since manufactured in workshop designed for the purpose.
A unit will cost less because of minimized installation costs. Furthermore you do not have to worry about surprise costs and 'add-ons'.
A unit will be delivered faster and as pre-assembled and pre-tested it will be ready to operate the minute after installation.
As capacity requirements increase you have possibility to add more units.

As a manufacturer Steel Master is approved to fabricate pressure vessels by notified bodies:

Inspecta Oy: Fabrication in accordance with 97/23/EC(PED); modules D/D1 and G.
DNV AS: Welded pressure vessels; Class I & II.
SELO: Pressure Vessels D1, D2 (Manufacture License of Special Equipment People's Republic of China)
BV: Mode II Pressure containers and pipeline units
We possess all necessary procedure approvals and qualifications to manufacture units containing pressure vessels. Welding procedure approval tests are based on standards SFS-EN 288 and welder approval tests on SFS-EN 287.

Our quality system, which is based on EN ISO 9001:2000 and EN ISO 3834-2 standards, has been certified by Finnish notified body Inspecta Oy.

Steel Master Finland has gained orders from different countries and customers from all over the world. Today almost all units are manufactured in accordance with PED and marked with CE-labels.

The most significant products have been delivered to Wärtsilä Finland Oy, Foster Wheeler Energia Oy and Kvaerner Power Oy.
